Jane’s World

Jane and Chelle at coffee shopJane’s World stars the loveable misfit, Jane Wyatt. It’s a comic full of “girl-on-girl action, chicks with guns, a vegan menace, vintage Winnebagos, drag queens and downward career spirals. You know, the usual-for stability-challenged Jane.

Whether it’s friends who see her as one of the guys (her roommate Ethan), women who see her as a fixer-upper (vegan surfer Skye), or figures of mystery who find themselves attracted to her in spite of themselves (badass ex-cop Chelle), or just nice, normal women (Jane’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Dorothy), everyone around her finds themselves being sucked into the maelstrom of drama, coincidences, and serious enmeshment issues that surround Jane. The results are funny, sexy, silly, and sometimes dramatic — the last thanks mostly to the flashbacks of Chelle and her current (romantic and otherwise) ex-partner Jill’s days as cops and the resultant side plots that continue to unfold in the storyline’s present day.

“Jane’s World is delightfully surreal, charmingly twisted, and funny as all get-out.”
— Denise Sudell, Sequential Tart

In 2006, Jane’s World received an Eisner Award nomination for best humor book. Now distributed by Universal Press Syndicate, daily installments of Jane’s World appear on GoComics. There are currently 11 volumes of Jane’s World in print.

  1. I really love your comic. It’s the closest I’ll come to having a girlfriend. When I go downtown Toronto I’ll go to places and they almost always ask me where’s your boyfriend?

  5. I was directed to Jane’s World from reading the recommendations on the FAQ page of “Rhymes With Orange” and now I’m really glad I took the time to poke around that website! Your comic is so much fun, and Jane is a very likable and relatable character. Well, except that I don’t think I’ve ever had so many girls interested in me :P. That art style is really nice, too. Thank you for bringing this bizarre, charming world and this lovely cast of characters to life!
