For all the things that annoy me about Facebook, sometimes the site shares a “memory” and the memory makes me smile. In this case, a memory from two years ago popped up to remind me of inking Jane’s World comics in the kitchen, under the watchful eye of our cat, Otis. The last new Jane’s World comic ran on October 19th and I’ve hardly stopped thinking of that world since. I literally think of Jane every day, as if she was my best friend who moved away and now we don’t get to hang out. It’s silly because I could just pick up a pencil and revisit her world, but I’ve started new projects so there’s not enough time in the day to live in both worlds at the same time. Anyway, there’s no real reason for this post other than to send a message out to the ether to Jane and her pals. I miss you and I hope you’re having a great life. I miss you.

I think that Jane and everyone do live on in a lot of hearts and minds. Perhaps someday you’ll pick up a pen and let us know what you think they’re up to. We can compare notes. I personally worry about Ethan.

I’m another who reads the re-runs every day. I miss her too. I do hope she is still “out there” and will make another appearance someday. Or at least send a post card from time to time… 🙂
